U haul is showing on their website the trailer is rated at a max weight of 1800 carrying capacity and the trailer weighs in at 900lbs making it fully loaded at 2700lbs. If your trailer fits the following description it is considered hhg and should be reimbursable;

Uhaul states the max tow speed as 55 mph.

The uhaul website will have that info, along with empty weights. It's a major liability issue for them. Basically filled a double axle uhaul box trailer with very heavy boxes and eventually got to the point where there was no more room in the trailer, the backseat and bed of the truck were packed as well.
When you get where you are going take the car off the trailer then unhook the trailer from the truck. Trailer is 2210 and car 2800 range so at 5000 minimum back there. On a 7,000 pound trailer that would be 700 to 1,050 pounds.
If you read the towing bible i assume you calculated your total weights car/trailer/payload(in the truck with #people, stuff inside and in the bed) and it does not exceed the total (like 6500) if its rated as such with the towing package. Maximum weight is 4,000 lbs. One thing though, u haul will not let you rent the trailer unless the truck is rated to pull it.
Weigh just your truck first. As you can tell, i'm new to this towing stuff. I’m not sure the elevations you are looking at, but say it’s 8,000’.
